Rest in Paradise ^Kayleigh^ and ^Logan^

Two amazing children earned their wings yesterday, Logan (Logi) Harman and Kayleigh Freeman.

I've been following Logi's story for over a year now and Kayleigh's for numerous months.

Many people heard of the passing of these two beautiful children and posted about it using the phrase that they "lost their battle".

I don't believe that for a second.

Logan Harman, at four years old, survived much longer than expected to from Type 1 SMA (which is the number one genetic killer of kids under the age of 2) and Kayleigh Freeman, at 11 months old survived her premature birth (she weighed 1 pound and 1 ounce when she was born), underwent 248 procedures and seven major surgeries and is the smallest person in the world to have ever undergone open heart surgery!

Both of these incredible kids proved the doctors wrong, wouldn't let anything hold them back from life and showed how strong they really were.

So I don't believe that they lost their battles, I believe that they won. Though they left this earth too soon, they are now both free of tubes and wires, enjoying their new bodies, watching over the ones who deeply loved them.

Amy, Adam, Shelle and Chris- I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your incredible children. My heart is with you during this painful time.

Rest in Paradise Logi and Kayleigh.

I agree 100%, those babes didn't lose a battle, they fought harder than most of us ever could, and they just weren't asked to fight any longer. I feel terrible for their parents though, it's never easy to lose a child. It brings back so many memories for me when I read of sweet angels like these two.
